Music for Tots has been the best experience! My son, Julian started
going when he was just one year old, he would sit on my lap and watch
with wide eyes. Then one day out of the blue we were driving and listening
to the CD in the car when he started singing the songs, needless to
say I was thrilled! After that every week he started participating
more and more. It's been almost a year now and he loves going to class
and sings along and does the movements to the songs when we listen
to the CD. Not only is he having fun but he is building a musical
base for his future. Thank you Kelly for keeping MFT alive in Sedona
and for being such a great teacher and friend. ~ Eva Maurice
I first experienced the Music for Tots program attending with the
daughter of a friend. I thought it was a wonderful program and could
not wait to adopt our son and bring him to the class. Dylan had been
in an orphanage from 6 mos. to 15 mos. He had almost no interaction
with his caregivers, other than the necessities of feeding, changing,
etc. He had NO playtime, spending his entire day standing or sitting
in a playpen with the other children. His first day in class his somber
expression didn’t change at all, and he just sat with me watching
everyone else. It seemed as if he didn’t even hear the music
around him. Now, several months later, he runs around and laughs and
participates in some ways. We “practice” at home, listening
to the CD we received in class and “playing” instruments
we bought at the store. He now seems to really enjoy the music and
can even anticipate some of the activities coming up for each song.
He does the hand motions for Itsy Bitsy Spider and the little Black
Bird song. Experience in the music class has really helped our son
open up and learn to express himself. The interaction he gets in class
with the other children and grown ups is truly invaluable for his
development. Thank you, Kelly! ~ Lisa Bartlett

My
daughter Lilly has been so inspired by music class, that I often catch
her making up her own little songs and tunes, and singing the day
away! Thanks Kelly. ~ Avani Robinson
On
the final day of our session with Kelly, the tears welled up. I had
made a deep connection from my past with my father teaching me music
when I was a child. I've always said, "Fathers, be with your
children more and more." Kelly's 'Music for Tot's' classes make
that time special when I'm with my son.
