Why is music important for children?

Musical communication is a basic life skill as important to your child’s development as walking and talking, and all children have the potential to develop the ability to sing in tune and keep a beat, which is called “basic music competence.” When these skills are nurtured at a young age, your child has the best possible foundation for any formal musical training they choose in the future.
